<i>Truyền thuyết người Dao truyền tụng rằng rượu San Lùng là rượu của trời, của các đấng thiêntinh. Các vị Bồ Tát thường phái Tiên sa xuống núi Pò Sèn (ở Bản Xèo - bát Xát) lấy rượu về. Ấy là khi trời mưa, nắng, người ta thường thấy xuất hiện một chiếc cầu vồng như ba vòi nước hút từ dòng suối chảy ra từ lòng nùi Pò Sèn ngược lên trời.
